Customs, Wellington
Customs is our Wellington flagship coffee shop. Situated on a sunny spot on Ghuznee Street, Customs is the go to for anyone after a great cup of coffee, slice of toast or doughnut.

After years of doing this kinda thing, we’ve learnt that coffee quality shouldn’t come at the expense of approachability and service - it should be fun, engaging and honest. We have always believed hospitality and generosity form the backbone of any good coffee experience and we’re after a talented person who feels the same way.

We want to give you the opportunity to help contribute to an iconic cafe in the heart of Wellington’s street, to learn as much as you can and to be a part of New Zealand’s leading coffee roaster.

Some of the main duties are:
  • Greeting and serving customers.
  • Producing espresso and brewed coffee to the highest standards, using Supreme's approved techniques.
  • Providing expert assistance and advice to customers purchasing beans and equipment.
  • Taking orders and using the POS system.
  • Preparing and plating simple food.
  • Delivering food and coffee to customers.
  • Clearing tables, washing dishes and other cafe tasks.
  • Contributing to developing our offer.
The successful applicant will:
  • Have a sound existing knowledge base of specialty coffee, processing methods and brewing methods and be eager to build upon this.
  • Have 2+ years experience as a barista.
  • Have a genuine love for hospitality - we’d love to hear what this means to you

Order Fulfillment Assistant
Hopper Street, Wellington
Part time
Based at our Hopper Street roastery, our order fulfillment team takes care of the packing of coffee beans, and the assembly and delivery of orders through both wholesale and retail channels. They are responsible for providing an exceptional Supreme Experience to our customers at home, as well as our wholesale cafe customers.

When our valued customers receive their delivery, it should be a "HALLELUJAH" moment! They should open the beautifully packed box to see their order fulfilled as per their exact specifications and attractively displayed.

We're on the lookout for an energetic person to join the team! This would suit someone who's keen to get behind the scenes in coffee, enjoys working with their hands, and thrives on a fast paced day on their feet.

We want someone who is a good team player, ready to muck in wherever needed to help out. You need to work efficiently, be clean and tidy, and be able to maintain an attention to detail whilst meeting courier deadlines.

Other tasks include performing stocktakes, keeping the order fulfilment areas clean and tidy, and assisting customers visiting the factory.

The position is part time. The days and hours of work are Thursdays and Fridays from 7.30am until 4.00pm.

A restricted or full driver's licence and ability to drive a manual is a non-negotiable requirement.
Some of the main duties are:
  • Retrieve and print customer orders for fulfillment.
  • Use the courier system to generate and print freight labels.
  • Accurately weigh, grind and pack coffee as per customer requirements.
  • Prepare and pack customer orders, meeting the set standard for brand presentation.
  • Meet deadlines for courier pickups, to ensure we meet our service promise.
  • Run daily checks to ensure all orders have been fulfilled.
  • Provide warm customer service.
  • Keep up to date with our coffees and products.
  • Fulfil cleaning schedules and maintain a tidy and organised workspace.
  • Prepare boxes and restock room as required.
  • Adhere to council and national requirements for Food Safety and Health & Safety.
  • Work with the team on continuous improvements to the department.
