Assistant Accountant

We're on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to work closely with our Group Finance Manager. You will be working as a part of our small trans-Tasman Finance Department at our Wellington Support Office.  

In this role you will be responsible for providing financial accounting support. Your key responsibilities will include balance sheet reconciliations, journals, intercompany reconciliations, taxation (GST, FBT) and month end accounting. 

You will be knowledgeable in key accounting concepts and have a desire to gain further experience and understanding. You will also be customer focused and passionate about our products.

This role is about 32 hours per week, which could be done over 4 days, or 5 shorter days - perfect for a parent looking to work in with school hours or a professional wanting to do further study.
Some of the main duties are:
  • Systems Management - bank recs, fixed assets, stocktakes etc.
  • Management Accounting - weekly dashboard reports, journals, draft profit and loss reports.
  • Accounts Payable.
  • Taxation Returns.
  • Reporting and General accounting tasks.
The successful applicant will:
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience in an accounting assistant role.
  • Have experience with MYOB Advanced.
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have an understanding of accounting disciplines functionality (AP/AR/Bank Recs/GL/Journals).
  • Have an understanding of end to end transactional processes.
  • Have fast, accurate data entry skills.
  • Have absolute attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be super organised and work to deadlines.

Front of house / Barista
Supreme Supreme, Christchurch

We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Professional with coffee making skills to join our front of house team at Supreme Supreme, the flagship location for Coffee Supreme Roasters in Christchurch.

This is a varied role that will include some time on the espresso machine (La Marzocco), as well as time on the floor hosting our customers and ensuring they have an excellent experience.

The cafe is open 7 days, and this position will require some weekend shifts.
Some of the main duties are:
  • Provide warm and engaging customer service
  • Have 2 years experience as a barista
  • Be familiar with the Coffee Supreme brand and values
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of specialty coffee, processing methods etc
  • Work well in a team and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Present well at all times
  • Work hard, and have a lot of energy

Coffee Packer

We're looking for a healthy and strong person with quick hands and an eye for detail to come and pack roasted coffee into bags.

Days and hours of work are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.00am to 3.30pm.
Some of the main duties are:
  • Take direction from the Despatch manager to prioritise workload
  • Accurately print out labels for batches and attach to bags
  • Use the bagging machine to weigh coffee to exact specifications
  • Seal and shelve bags ready for despatch
