Community + Opportunity: Free to Feed Bake Sale

Free to Feed is a not-for-profit social enterprise in awe of the potential and spirit of refugees, people seeking asylum and new migrants – and appreciative of what they want to offer as new community members – they champion their unique skills and individual stories.

Free to Feed was founded in late 2015 with the express purpose of assisting people seeking asylum to find meaningful employment opportunities using their existing skills and experiences and to facilitate community interconnectivity and break the stifling sense of social isolation often faced by these new arrivals.

One of their biggest fundraising efforts is the Annual Bake Sale which we're happy to be a part of this year. Being held Good Friday, the sale of very coffee made will go directly to Free to Feed's 2019 training program. This years theme is Community + opportunity for Refugees & People Seeking Asylum!

This year Free to Feed is having a delicious community BBQ in their lovely courtyard (bring your kids): Sausages and burgers by Hagens Organic Butcher, made with love by legends including Julia Busuttil Nishimura of Julia Ostro with support from Northside Fruit & Veg.

Baked goods by the likes of Beatrix, Hunted + Gathered, Box Brownies, Nine Bakery & Patisserie, Red Door Corner Store, Northcote Bakeshop, Rustica Sourdough Bakery & Cafe, Small numbers, Mister Nice Guy’s Bakery, Loafer Bread, Cherry Murphy Short Round Cobb Lane Dench Bakers, Fig & Salt, Sticky Fingers Bakery, Austro, Bad Love Club, WaWa Chocolatier, Tidbit Cakes, GF Precinct, Mile End Bagels.
